some sort of chard

so the 'last chance bin' had a bag of greens. i'm assuming swiss chard but that is just a guess. i chopped up a hot pepper and thinly sliced the garlic. then i rough chopped the greens, heated olive oil, cooked garlic & pepper, then added greens



just a pat of butter at the end. DUH.


this was easily one of the best things i've made to date. i just needed some of that pepper vinegar that you put on your greens in the south. duh.



i tried to pickle the stems because i swear i saw pickled red stems of something on tastespotting.com. however it was disgusting and i threw them out. HOWEVER the pepper i used to pickle the stems was a SCOTCH BONNET. hell yes. so after i threw the stems out i added those chopped up scotch bonnet to a batch of fridge pickles i already had in the fridge.
